Hi, everyone! I am Amy and I began this organization because of my son's cancer diagnosis. No one can understand the helpless feeling parents go through when their child is facing a disease that could take their life, so I began helping people since day one in our journey. I called it "serving while suffering" and it has helped me heal and gave others hope through the years. My degree and background is in accounting and I have experience in records management. I am the Music Director at church and I participate in various ministries as well, including the Outreach Committee. I have served as the Treasurer for the local school's PTO, Assistant Cub Master for local Cub Scouts, Sunday school teacher for adults and children, children's choir director, bus ministry captain, and youth group director. My heart is in serving others. Isaiah 43:1-3
Hi, I am Cherri. I have a Master's degree in Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have 20 years experience working with children and families from various types of trauma, blended families, anxiety, depression, ADHD to name a few areas. My volunteer experience includes helping with church events, band programs, school classrooms, Sunday school teacher, and AWANAS teacher. I look forward to serving our community through Heroes of Hope.
Hi! I am Devonna and I live in a small town in Missouri. I live with my husband of 31 years on his family farm where we have raised our 3 children and now our 2 grandchildren. I help with the farm, plus run a small business. Several years ago, my nephew was in a house fire and over 50% of his body had 3rd degree burns. I witnessed complete strangers helping my sister and I realized how important it is to help families in these situations. I was searching for ways to help when I met Amy. The journey of her son's strength and her love of helping families and children facing illnesses gave me a desire to assist her with serving families over the last several years. My goal is to help Heroes of Hope develop in other states, so more families can be served through this organization. It is such a testament of hope to share with these families only good things as they focus on their child.

Mothers of sick children do not have the luxury of going out to eat, going to special events, or going on vacation. We take flowers to the mothers at a local children's hospital as a reminder that they have not been forgotten. Transplant patients are not able to enjoy flowers, so we give special treats to those mothers too.
Siblings suffer too, but they are a big help to the community as well. Serving the community as a family unit instills many values and allows a family to heal together.
Your character is measured by how you use your trials to help others. I'd say Grayson has that down. He loves sending items to the children in the hospital when he goes to clinic for his maintenance and now SURVIVOR appointments.
